East Africa

East Africa has long been synonymous with Safaris – the word itself is Kiswahili for ‘journey’. Straddling the equator this ecologically diverse region encompassing Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda and has some of the richest wildlife areas in the world. Even before visiting, our minds are full of images from this part of Africa, like the endless plains of the Serengeti, masses of migrating wildebeest crossing the Mara river, the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, Masai tribesmen in bright hues herding their livestock, the imposing Mount Kilimanjaro or Rainforests teeming with Gorillas and Chimpanzees.
